Baxters are a traditional firm of Insurance Brokers, Risk Managers and Independent Financial Advisers who take a modern approach to providing a first class service to our clients. The provision of a personal service is important to us and we strive to maintain a high level of skills.

W.B. Baxter Limited have been in business since 1911 and are regulated by the Financial Services Authority to transact business across a wide range of products.  We believe that our client relationships are paramount.  Personal service is a tradition in which we pride ourselves and indeed many of our client families have dealt with us for three or four generations.  Furthermore the relationships that we have developed with our insurer partners enable us to combine the very best cover with competitive prices, ensuring that our clients receive true value for money.

In 2000 we were approached by Willis, one of the worlds leading insurance brokers, to join a network of leading independent UK insurance brokers, collectively known as the Willis Commercial Network, which we joined in 2001. Whilst retaining our independence, this enables us to access facilities only available to the largest International Insurance Brokers.

Howard Lee FCA

Howard Lee, Managing Director, grandson of W B Baxter, joined Baxters in 1978 having qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1976. Howard is responsible for the overall management of the company as well as heading up the Financial Services Division. As a qualified Independent Financial Adviser, he and his team can offer full financial planning services to both the Corporate sector as well as to individuals.

Jill Fletcher Cert CII Cert PFS

Jill Fletcher, Director and Independent Financial Adviser, joined Baxters in 1979 with a wealth of experience gained from several years working in the London Insurance market. Jill is responsible for Baxters Private Clients as well as involvement in the Financial Services Division majoring in High Net Worth home and motor insurance, together with both corporate and individual Private Medical Insurance. Over the last 10 years, Jill has been instrumental in establishing several sizeable Affinity Group Schemes offering discounted insurances for members.

Stephen Saunders

Stephen Saunders, Director, after many years with a major Lloyds Insurance Broker, joined Baxters in 1988 and has joint responsibility for the Corporate Risks Division. Stephen works with both existing clients and prospective new clients on the creation of bespoke and innovative insurance programmes. Responsibilities also include new and specific product development, marketing and working with insurance companies to ensure continuation of our excellent working relationships.

David Stingemore ACII

Having acquired over 11 years underwriting experience at a major UK insurer David joined Baxters in 1997 and is a Director with joint responsibility for the Corporate Risks Division. His role encompasses many different aspects. In addition to the core activities of key client corporate account broking and management David is also instrumental in business & insurer strategy, marketing and is primarily responsible for the day to day management of the Division including business processes, staff development / training and accounts and credit control functions.
